The suspension bridge spans a wooded side valley of the Moselle between Mörsdorf and Sosberg along the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig. The foundations of the two bridgeheads are firmly set 82 feet (25 meters) deep in rock. Four steel cables help the bridge cross the valley, where the thick wooden planks are bolted. Additionally, the bridge is supported by left and right guy wires for strong winds. The suspension bridge can also be reached via a branch of the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig long-distance hike.
