Ryan Seacrest succeeds Pat Sajak as the new host of your grandparents’ favorite show Wheel of Fortuneand obviously the question on viewers minds is… the living legend known as Vanna White stay on the show? Answer: It depends on whether or not she succeeds in renegotiating her contract.
According Weekly entertainmentVanna is “currently in negotiations” and as of June 23 “no agreement has been reached” and “everything is still pending”.
Meanwhile, sources say TMZ that Vanna will not continue Wheel of Fortune unless she earns “at least half” of what Pat Sajak earned. According to a source, “After 41 years as a model employee and more the face of this show than him (Pat), asking for 50% of what he earns seems like a no-brainer.” Another insider says Vanna feels the negotiations are “a statement for all women.”
Vanna’s current salary is said to be $3 million per year, which TMZ says is what she has done for the past 18 years without a single raise. She’s looking to make $7.5 million a year, half of the $15 million Pat Sajak brought home.
According to the latest reports, Sony doesn’t accepted the increase, but we must hope!
