Lainey Wilson likes to win over fans with his performances, his work on Yellowstone season 5 and a celebratory appearance at 4th of July 2023 celebration at Macy’s. But she also knows how to move the crowds with the impeccable looks she chooses for the red carpet.
In April, the country singer attended the Axios After Hours event hosted by Live Nation in Washington, DC. For the night, Lainey embraced her flair for combining patterns by mixing them up for a photoshoot. For the bottom part of the outfit, she wore light blue pants that flared out into a wide leg. The design featured a multicolored leopard print, adding a pop to the overall moment.
But what really took the ensemble over was the sheer black top that Lainey donned with the pants. The blouse consisted of sheer long sleeves with lace details. She also wore the top in a way that created a v-neckline and she tied the shirt at the end. In addition, the shirt had black ribbons on the shoulders, which the “heart like a truck” the singer left free around her neck.
To follow her creative approach to event dressing, Lainey made sure to add her own country flair in the accessories. While her shoes weren’t visible, she made sure to add a neutral colored cowboy hat with green detailing on the side. For jewelry, she put on a pair of hoop earrings and cocktail rings for sparkle.
With a hat already on her head, Lainey styled her blonde hair and slipped on simple makeup. With black mascara, she combined the look with rosy cheeks and neutral lipstick.
While Lainey’s look shows off her love of fashion and pattern, it wasn’t the first time people had seen her in a sheer top. She wore a sheer lace two piece dress in April 2022, when she attended the CMT Awards, where she received two nominations.
If someone asked us who our favorite cowgirl is, we’d say Lainey’s name right away!
